What is FTP?

FTP is a network protocol used for transfer files between different computers eg. your computer and your web host servers. To make an FTP connection you will need an FTP Client like FileZilla (FTP client is a software that allows you to upload and download files to and from your hosting account) and the FTP settings that you will get from your webhost, "Host name", "FTP User name" and "FTP Password".

After you setup a connection with your host servers you will be able to transfer your website files. Alternative you can use an online file manager that most web hosts offers.
